Not Cool Dude: Man From Los Angeles Accused of Smoking Pot on Plane
Modern comforts such as food, internet, and television may be making people feel too much at home. A man from Los Angeles is accused of smoking marijuana on a Jet Blue flight en route to Newark, N.J. from Fort Lauderdale, FL. The 42 year old Adam Blumenkranz was said to have lit up in the bathroom of the aircraft. A surprised Blumenkranz claimed that he felt he did nothing wrong because he is a medical marijuana cardholder in Los Angeles. We ask that Mr. Blumenkranz checks in with us at marijuana.net more often, so that he would know the difference between state and federal law. Once an individual enters an airport they are in federal territory. Additionally, he clearly left the state so it is important to remember that he only had protection under California state law. Also, Mr. Blumenkranz, most patients understand that if you cannot smoke a cigarette inside an airplane, then smoking marijuana may be frowned up as well.

Patients See Progress In Kansas
For the third consecutive year, Kansas legislatures have been presented with a medical marijuana law for review. Unfortunately on the other end of the spectrum, synthetics are still striking fear in patients and parents alike. Scientists do not believe that synthetic products such as K2 and Spice possess any significant medical value, yet they can be easily accessible to teens as they are often sold in convenience stores and smoke shops.
There have already been bans on synthetic marijuana in many states such as Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama and several others. One of the most frustrating issues for authorities is that designers have been able to stay a step ahead of bans because they can alter the chemical components and avoid having any “illegal” chemicals in their products. Synthetic marijuana would likely have no marketplace if a more sensible approach had been taken toward marijuana for the past several decades. Yesterday South Dakota passed a bill and joined the growing list of states that have enacted bans on synthetic cannabis. The momentum for such bans is growing as more and more stories are reported about deaths associated with synthetic use.
Moving back toward the positive end of the discussion, Arizona patients should be finding relief soon as officials are now saying that dispensaries should be operational by this summer. The Arizona Medical Marijuana Act was passed in November of 2010. As documented previ...
